A tone driven solid-body that will work as hard as you.

The Zebra gets its name from the engraving adorning the pickguard. It is a hard-working guitar designed for playing gigs. It is a model can take the occasional knock and looks better the more it’s played, much like a favourite pair of worn jeans.

A pair of Seymour Duncan Phat Cat pickups drive the sound. They give the guitar the tone of the old P-90 pickups of the 50’s & 60s, a sound that is very fat and warm with plenty of grunt and sustain when needed. It is ideal for styles from jazz through to surf rock, psychedelic and heavy rock. The controls are minimal with a toggle switch to select between pickups and a single volume and tone control.

The body of this model is made of Empress Wood, which is very lightweight, making it one of the lightest and most comfortable electric guitars to play. The timber is also plantation grown making it a completely sustainable material. The body has been ‘reliced’ to appear worn, this look is very practical as any bumps the body might get will not stand out as damage.

The neck is American Rock Maple and is a one-piece design incorporating the fingerboard. The entire instrument is finished in a light satin Nitrocellulose lacquer.

This instrument has a fixed bridge but we also have a similar instrument in stock with a tremolo bridge.
