A truly unique instrument crafted from a legendary tonewood.

Brazilian Rosewood
Brazilian Rosewood has gained a reputation within the guitar community as a special timber. It has been used since the very early days of the guitar and is possibly the most perfect of the dense tonewoods.

While Brazilian Rosewood has a long history of use in the backs and sides of acoustic and classical guitars it has not often been used in ukuleles. It has also rarely been used for the tops of instruments. This Paddle shaped tenor ukulele is somewhat unique as we used Brazilian Rosewood for the entire body, back sides and top.

Naturally Unique
The particular Rosewood used is distinctive and striking. It is two-toned featuring a light side and dark side in the same piece. The straw-coloured sapwood contrasts beautifully against the dark heartwood with its hues of red, black, green and orange with complex grain patterns. It is truly a one of a kind set of timber.

Fittings & Inlay
The fingerboard, bridge and headplate are also Brazilian Rosewood but of a darker variety which is a chocolate brown colour. The headstock is inlaid with a variation of our logo incorporating a stylised wave. The headstock also features an intricate inlay of a hula girl, which is symbolic of the Hawaiian origin of ukuleles.

Sound
The tone is unique and beautiful, the Brazilian Rosewood lends a flavour to the tone which we have not heard before, it is sweet and brilliant with a crystal quality and ample volume.

Finish
A french polish finish has been applied to the entire instrument, bringing out the full beauty of the timber used.
