A traditional Orchestra model instrument with the heart of an early 20th century acoustic.

The top of this instrument is Adirondack Spruce, a timber which has become legendary. This type of Spruce was commonly used in the guitars of the early 20th century and many believe it contributes largely to their unique tone. Also known as ‘Red Spruce’ due to the unique colour of the tree’s foliage this timber only grows in a small region of North-East America so supply is now very limited.

The back is made from a bookmatched halves of stunning flamed Hawaiian Koa and is trimmed with Ivoroid binding. The sides are from the same timber with a tighter figure. The rosette is a three-piece design featuring American Green Abalone.

A medium-width neck and low action make playability effortless. The tone of the guitar is rich and colourful, the volume is not overpowering and is evenly balanced across all ranges. The sound is amplified through a Fishman Matrix pickup system with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls.

The finish is traditional Nitrocellulose lacquer. The body has a light ageing toner applied and has been hand polished to a high gloss. The neck has a satin finish and is fast and smooth to play.
