Your Unique Instrument

Have you ever wanted a custom guitar that reflects your personality, taste and playing style?

When you attend the Hancock Guitar Making course you can build a very personalised instrument, something you can be proud to call your own.

Acoustic Guitars

If you are building an acoustic guitar you can choose the body shape you want from a range of styles, from small body parlour guitars through to full-size Dreadnought and jumbo sizes. You can even build a Weissenborn lap-slide guitar.

Electric Guitars

If you are building an electric guitar you have even more scope to customise the shape of your guitar and you can choose from a myriad of classic body shapes, or design something completely unique.

Customisation

Once you have the shape and style sorted out the next step is to choose what it will be made from. There are a lot of different tonewoods available and we will guide you through this sometimes overwhelming process. You can choose timbers that will make the guitar look and sound just the way you want it to.

During the course you can customise the trim, inlays, frets, neck profile, finish and many other parts of your guitar. All of these choices add to the unique look of the finished instrument. You will also customise the profile of the neck and other features to make the guitar very comfortable for you to play.
